The Madison Heights Sign-A-Rama location was one of the first Sign-A-Rama stores to open in Michigan. In fact, it was our very first retail location and has grown over the years to become our Company Headquarters. The team at Sign-A-Rama Madison Heights are proud to be known as industry leaders in the signage!

Originally opened in 1998 by Ed Progar & Joann Progar, the store began in a 950 square foot facility with a strong focus on customer service and impeccable quality. Bob Chapa started as the first production person with the company which grew into the Operations Manager role, and as many years passed Ed, Joann and Bob built a very solid foundation for the Sign-A-Rama location we have become today.

Bob Chapa eventually purchased the business from Ed & Joann in 2005 and has not stopped his "forward thinking vision" every since. Eventually moving the store from 1,200 square feet to a new state of the art 12,000 square foot manufacturing facility on Stephenson Hwy was an important step in building our footprint and capabilities in the Metro Detroit sign market and beyond.

Larger space allowed for larger equipment, and in short time the Sign-A-Rama location was equipped with automated channel letter equipment, computerized router tables and many other tools to enhance the abilities of the MichiganSignShops.com family of stores.

 Sign-A-Rama is proud to serve the Madison Heights, Troy, Royal Oak, Birmingham, Warren, Hazel Park, Sterling Heights and all of the Downtown Detroit area.
